The milkfish  is the sole living species in the family Chanidae. This fish lives in Indiand and South Pacific Ocean. Milfishes can grow to 66 inch - 1.70 metre and a weight of around 30 lb - 14 kg. When hooked it is a great fighter.  Milkfish aquaculture first occurred around 700 years ago in the Philippines Islands.
