TROUT SEA SPOTTED (Cynoscion nebulosus)

Angler Gary Douglas Beach of Ocean City, Maryland, USA recently took a trip to Sebastian, Florida to target the area’s world-class inshore fishing. Fishing with Capt. Gus Brugger on February 22, 2012, Beach found what he came for – an impressive spotted seatrout (Cynoscionnebulosus) that he caught while casting a DOA Cal Jerkbait.

 A 21 pound super sea trout.




Fishing off Melbourne area, in Florida  Luke Ledbetter has reeled in a massive spotted seatrout estimated about 14 pounds and 34.2 inches 

Spotted Sea Trout is a member of the Sciaenidae family; it is also called spotted weakfish, spotted squeteague, speckled trout, gator trout, winter trout, salmon trout, black trout.

Occurs in the western Atlantic Ocean from New York to the Gulf of Mexico, from Virginia southward, particularly off the coasts of North Carolina and Texas. An in shore, schooling species, it usually inhabits the shallow areas of bays and estuaries. They range as far north as Long Island in late spring.
