DRUM FRESHWATER (Aplodinotus grunniens)

Angler Joshua Cole of Reeds Spring, Missouri has while bowfishing caught  an incredible 30 pounds, 15 oz., measuring just at 33 inches long. A new state record.


A big size freshwater drum caught in North Carolina.

Nancy Cash of Martinsville set a new Virginia record with a 26-pound, 8-ounce freshwater drum she caught on July 12 at Buggs Island Lake in Boydton, southwest of South Hill.

The freshwater drum, is a fish endemic to North and Central America. It lives in lakes and rivers and feeds mainly mainly aquatic insect larvae and bivalve mussels.

The current world record was caught on Nickajack Lake in Tennessee, and weighed  lb 8 oz - 24.7 kg
